How LNA started
The people behind LNA have been meeting on Tuesday afternoons since 2013, originally as a local chapter of a national referral organization. The afternoon start was deliberate and, at the time, unusual; most networking groups meet over breakfast, and ours may have been the first in the area to decide that 4 p.m. suits our members better than 7 a.m.
In 2023, we went independent and became the Lincoln Networking Association: same weekly meetings, same one-seat-per-profession structure, now self-governing and fully local. More than half of our current members have been passing referrals to each other since the earlier chapter, including founding members Bill Zimmer of Zimmer Financial Services and Amy Birkholz of Home Design Real Estate Group.
Today we’re 17 members strong, with a goal of 25. If your profession isn’t represented yet, that seat is open.
Want to become a member?
You’re welcome to visit for up to two meetings, free and clear. If there is a chance of overlap with an existing member (see our roster), we ask that you come as a guest and have a conversation with the member prior to the meeting to set ground rules on what you can say about your business.
The weekly meeting is the heart of what membership buys, so after two visits, we’ll ask you to decide whether you want a seat. From there: (1) Submit an application along with the $500 first-year fee; (2) Attend three consecutive meetings in total (your two visits count if they were back-to-back); (3) Sit down for two 1:1s, one with a leadership team member and one with a regular member; and (4) Once approved, attend Tuesday Network Training (TNT), our onboarding course in how to get the most out of your seat. Renewals are $400 a year, and everyone chips in $25 a month to cover food at the weekly meetings and our social events.
